ELEMENTS Adds All-NVMe Media Storage and Server Solutions to Core ONE and NAS Ranges at IBC 2018

Published: 31 August 2018

ELEMENTS, developer of advanced solutions for unrestricted collaboration in shared media workflows, is introducing new AFA (all-flash array) versions of its ELEMENTS ONE and ELEMENTS NAS all-in-one media storage and server storage systems at IBC 2018. Both solutions are now available as slick 2U units with all Non-Volatile Memory Express (NVMe) drives, providing up to 80TB of raw storage capacity. Together with ELEMENTS’ support of up to 100Gbit Ethernet and RDMA, the overall performance of the Company’s unique human-centered appliances achieves unparalleled levels. The new versions will be demonstrated along with the entire range of ELEMENTS products at the RAI in Amsterdam in hall 7, booth B08 throughout the show.

“We are excited to expand our product portfolio with this new line of NVMe-based storage appliances, dedicated to customers who value speed over space.” says André Kamps, CEO of ELEMENTS. “The all-NVMe solutions of ELEMENTS ONE and ELEMENTS NAS deliver performance beyond belief, with incredible high-bandwidths, zero latencies and more than double the throughput – a huge benefit for all media workflows.”

Rendering tasks are also accomplished at a significantly accelerated pace due to the high-level of Input/Output Operations per Second (IOPS) rates that these versions offer. Workstations handling raw workflows in UHD, 4K and up will experience incredible bandwidth with increased write access.

ELEMENTS will also be showcasing its full set of workflow enhancement tools that are integrated into every ELEMENTS appliance, including the globally-embraced Media Library that incorporates many one-of-a-kind features, including an embedded media player. The media player can play back up to four videos simultaneously - selectively synchronous and asynchronous, allowing comparison of four editing versions concurrently. The Media Library also contains a Rough-Cut Editor comparable to other professional editing tools that furnish a wide-spectrum of functionalities. In addition, the Media Library editor enhances and simplifies approval and communication processes during projects by identifying areas of interest via frame-accurate comments and drawings on the source material.
