Exterity, a leading global provider of IP video, digital signage and guest experience technologies, is off to a strong start in 2020, announcing 15% growth in both revenues and staff numbers last year when it made a series of important hires and opened key new offices to help keep pace with rapid global growth. The company, headquartered in Dalgety Bay near Edinburgh, Scotland, has seen tremendous expansion over the past three years, with revenues soaring by 80% since 2017. The announcement comes as the company prepares to unveil a raft of new products at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE 2020), which runs 11-14 February in The Netherlands (stand #10.K163, RAI, Amsterdam).

Colin Farquhar, CEO at Exterity, says: “At Exterity, we have believed since our inception in 2001 that providing the best solutions to the market requires having the best people, and we look forward to showcasing our latest innovations at ISE 2020. Having the right people in the right positions in each market better equips us to meet the massive rise in demand we are seeing on the ground.”

Over the past few months, Exterity has announced a string of key new hires across the nine offices it operates globally, including the recent hiring of Emily Parker as Sales Manager for Americas, which in turn comes on the heels of the promotion of Steven Forrest to Sales Director for Americas. The company also appointed Zaher Ajeeb as Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Sales Manager, and Victor Hasan as Regional Sales Manager, Hospitality for the Middle East, while Walid Tabet was promoted to Regional Sales Director for the Middle East. Most recently, Jamie March joined the Australia New Zealand team as Sales Manager, based in Sydney.

To bolster its global presence further in 2019, Exterity opened new offices in Saudi Arabia and in New Jersey in the US, as well as a new software innovation centre in Porto, Portugal. In 2019 the company also strengthened key partnerships with Intel, Philips, Samsung, Sky and Sony.

The new product showcase at ISE 2020 follows on a highly successful 2019 when Exterity’s solutions were adopted by a number of new customers around the world, including motorsport park The Bend, French media company NextRadioTV and the Parliament of Victoria in Australia. The products and solutions being showcased at ISE 2020 include:

· New 4K Media Player with 4K 60fps graphics and animations capability: The new AvediaPlayer m9605 Media Player can integrate both 4K video and smooth, highly detailed 4K 60fps graphics and animations into digital signage for an enhanced and captivating visual experience. The Exterity stand at ISE will feature an up-close demo.

· New ArtioFlow workflow app: ArtioFlow enables the creation of time-saving workflows by simply dragging a series of actions across the IPTV system – such as power on, set volume or channel change – to create action sequences.

· Next generation Encoders ship with Intel E3900 series technology inside: Exterity’s next generation 38-series AvediaStream HDMI Encoders, powered by Intel’s innovative Atom® E3900 processor, provide a more flexible solution, capable of supporting a wider range of codecs versus traditional, single codec ASIC solutions.

· New Pro:Idiom Gateway: The newest Exterity AvediaStream Gateway supports content-protected live TV and radio from satellite sources and streams it securely across an IP network. The g4417-pi meets the most stringent content protection requirements in delivering premium channels across an IP network.

· New AvediaStream g4401 IP-IP Gateway: The new g4401 IP-IP Gateway ensures that two paired Exterity gateways can send and receive secure reliable video streams over the internet using the SRT protocol. This enables organisations to deliver live video between remote sites, without the need for costly dedicated delivery networks.
