Friend MTS, the content and revenue protection specialist, will be highlighting its third generation, ultra-robust ASiD watermarking and global monitoring service at the Asia Video Summit 2018 (Hong Kong, October 29 - Nov 1 2018, stand B03).

“In the last year, we’ve seen an increase in the number of pirates using more sophisticated video manipulation techniques for illegal redistribution, as they try to defeat subscriber watermarking,” said Neil Sharpe, Product Marketing Director at Friend MTS, who is participating in the Video Distribution panel at the Asia Video Summit.

“This development reinforces the urgency for content rights holders and pay TV platforms to deploy a fully battle-hardened watermarking service like ASiD, which is founded on years of experience protecting premium sports and entertainment.”

Friend MTS’ ASiD watermarking has been evaluated by ‘golden eyes’, making it Hollywood Studio approved, and meeting the requirements of major sports rights owners for 4K/UHD services. The robustness of the service has also been independently tested by consultancy Cartesian.

The ASiD service is the most widely deployed subscriber-level watermarking for premium sports and entertainment content. It can stop streaming piracy within minutes by cutting it off at the source; this is done by terminating the access of the subscriber that's redistributing the content.

Suitable for 4K/UHD, live channels, pay-per-view events and on-demand assets, ASiD is highly effective against piracy based on Android and Kodi illicit streaming devices, as well as mobile apps, websites and social media.

Visitors to the Asia Video Summit will be able to see how Friend MTS can stop streaming piracy with traditional and OTT content delivery. More information about the company’s content protection services is available at www.friendmts.com.
