NAB Show 2018: Simplestream provides a window into the new world of TV distribution with the unveil of its dynamic VOD-in-a-Box service, and market-leading Live-2-VOD solution

Simplestream, leaders in live and on-demand services, today announced that it will unveil its enhanced suite of modular cloud-based solutions, including the award-winning VOD-in-a-Box service and Live-2-VOD solution to the North American market at the National Association of Broadcasters Show (NAB) – (stand SU11702CM, Las Vegas, 7 – 12 April 2018).

VOD-in-a-Box is an end-to-end white-label service that provides everything content owners and brands need to launch an on-demand or live streaming service in weeks, not months. It enables them to easily test the market using existing video content and launch apps across multiple platforms and territories. There is low exposure to commercial risk, ‘pay-as-you-grow’ commercial terms and a range of business models. VOD-in-a-Box is built on a suite of core modules that enables fast deployments, robust scalability, the flexibility to integrate with any existing platform via comprehensive APIs and unrivalled flexibility to extend a service and scale up over time. Powerful front-end frameworks manage content delivery across all global OTT platforms: iOS, TVOS, Android, Roku, Fire TV, Smart TV.

In addition to this unveil, visitors to Simplestream’s stand will learn how to reduce overheads and simplify complex workflows through its industry-leading Live-2-VOD solution. The fully-automated solution is optimised for the sport, teleshopping and entertainment sectors, who want to make live streams instantly available for on-demand viewing across multiple platforms within 60 seconds of broadcast, with API driven enhanced metadata.

Powering both VOD-in-a-Box and Live-2-VOD is Simplestream’s Cloud TV Platform. An end-to-end white label solution that enables broadcasters, platform operators, content owners and distributors to rapidly deploy next-generation TV everywhere services across multiple screens and territories – including support for unlimited live channels, automated catch-up with backwards EPG, and comprehensive user and entitlement management.
