New Accessories Increase Versatility of PAGlink Power System

PAG, one of the longest established providers of portable power solutions for the broadcast industry, will highlight new accessories for its PAGlink V-Mount and Gold Mount battery systems at NAB 2018 booth #C7917. The products PAG will feature are already shipping.
PAGlink is the company’s established intelligent linking battery system. It is designed to power a broad range of cameras and accessories used for modern broadcast acquisition. PAGlink comprises compact, lightweight batteries, available in 94/96Wh or 150Wh capacities, smaller, more efficient chargers and unique power distribution accessories.
When linked, the battery capacities are combined and discharge together, to allow a current draw of up to 12A. This is deal for modern camera set-ups that include multiple accessories. Sharing the current demand prolongs overall battery life, and provides a better return on investment. 94Wh PAGlink batteries are guaranteed for 3 years.
PAGlink distributes battery power for camera accessories in a new, more user-controlled way than other systems. Instead of building D-Taps into the battery, PAG provides a separate PowerHub which can be configured with 5 interchangeable connector units of your choice. D-Tap, USB, Hirose and Lemo units are offered. 4 D-Taps and 1 USB (5V 1A) are provided as standard. The PowerHub links between 2 PAGlink batteries and enables you to keep your accessories powered-up when you hot-swap batteries.
Linked battery charging is a unique feature of the PAGlink system. As well as 2 and 4 position chargers that charge up to 8 linked batteries on each position, PAG now offers a low-cost, ultra-compact Micro Charger, designed for light travel. The Micro Charger clips over the contacts of one battery which can be linked to another 3 batteries for simultaneous charging. Two 94/96Wh batteries can be fully-charged in 8 hours, or less when batteries are only partially discharged. The Micro Charger can be powered from any AC outlet worldwide via a PSU adapter. It can also be powered from 5-20V DC sources such as a 12V vehicle battery, or a USB charger (2A). The PSU and DC power cables are included in the package. PAG claims that it is the world’s smallest and most versatile broadcast battery charging kit.
