PlayBox Neo to demonstrate totally scalable media playout at Broadcast Asia 2019

Following a highly successful NAB Show, PlayBox Neo (www.playboxneo.com) heads to the Suntec Singapore Convention Centre for the June 18th - 20th Broadcast Asia 2019 show. Exhibiting on stand 6H4-01 (Level 6), PlayBox Neo will demonstrate the latest versions of its Channel-in-a-Box modular channel branding and playout product range plus the software-as-a-service based Cloud2TV offering.
Senior representatives attending will include CEO Pavlin Rahnev, Asia Pacific General Manager Desmon Goh, Sales Manager Iulian Ionescu and colleagues from the company's Asia Pacific offices.
"The broadcast market is becoming even larger thanks to heavy global investment in optical fiber networking and CDN-based content delivery,\" says Desmon Goh. "APAC broadcasters were among the first to adopt OTT techniques for second-screen and catch-up channels. They are now leading the way into OTT-based primary channel transmission both to mobile devices and to internet-connectable domestic TV sets. Our role is to provide the resources that enable entrepreneurs to create new channels quickly, easily, affordably and efficiently."
"Some broadcasters like to own and operate their own equipment while others prefer a service-based model,\" details Iulian Ionescu. "We cater for both. The PlayBox Neo Channel-in-a-Box series is based on standard modules which can be combined to match practically any scale and size of playout operation, from a single channel transmitting in one language up to a full scale multi-channel network for viewers across many language areas and time zones. Content scheduling, promos, commercials, graphics preparation, subtitling and billing can all be handled within a single server under fully automated control while retaining the freedom to insert live content after any currently airing file or, for a big-breaking story, to switch instantly to live pass-through."
Broadcast Asia this year will also host the APAC introduction of Cloud2TV, an IP-based and totally software-centric media playout and channel branding solution. This can be deployed standalone or to extend the scale and versatility of PlayBox Neo Channel-in-a-Box systems.
"Cloud2TV takes playout up to the next level in terms of new-start-up flexibility,\" adds Pavlin Rahnev. "Fast and easy to deploy, it gives network operators the freedom to scale their activities with unprecedented precision while side-stepping the capital cost of holding reserve equipment on standby. Cloud2TV is also the perfect solution for any channel manager seeking the security of a disaster-recovery center without the rental and staffing costs entailed in equipping and operating an off-site studio."
PlayBox Neo (www.playboxneo.com), building on nearly 20 years of successful innovation, pioneered the development of high-efficiency server-based and cloud-based playout to support every scale and type of one-to-many communication. PlayBox Neo AirBox and Cloud2TV today power over 18,000 TV and branding channels in more than 120 countries. Users include national and international broadcasters, start-up TV channels, webcasters, interactive TV and music channels, film channels, remote TV channels, corporate information channels and disaster recovery channels.
Based in Sofia (PlayBox Neo Commercial HQ), PlayBox Neo has offices in Singapore (PlayBox Neo Asia Pacific), New Delhi (PlayBox Neo India), and West Palm Beach (PlayBox Neo USA).
