The communication group Atresmedia Corporación SA, one of the most important content operators in the Spanish market, has sealed the purchase of18 HDC-1700 high-definition, 4K enabling system cameras, and 32 units of the new HDCU-3100 camera control model to produce the TV programs "La Voz\" and "El Objetivo".
Atresmedia, the leading communication group that operates mainly in the audiovisual sector, will be using Sony equipment to produce two of their programmes, both of weekly emission: "El Objetivo", a news and current affairs programme directed by the journalist Ana Pastor; and "La Voz", a successful entertainment programme of an internationally accepted format.Héctor Sierra, Sales Manager of Sony Europe, has spoken highly of the new commercial agreement and appreciates the confidence placed by Atresmedia in the quality and efficiency of Sony equipment. In addition, he emphasizes that "to generate a positive impact on the viewer, an excellent image quality is as important as the nature of the content broadcast."
Furthermore, the media corporation, which already has other models of high definition studio cameras such as the HDC-1400, expands the list of high-end production systems produced by Sony with the aim of maintaining its commitment to quality and audiovisual innovation.
On the one hand, the HDCU-3100, the new camera control unit presented at the latest edition of the NAB in Las Vegas, brings IP capabilities to Sony's range of studio and transmission system cameras. Through IP, the essential functions necessary for the live production of television programs can be offered, including Tally, intercom and video return.
On the other hand, the HDC-1700 has an advanced digital signal processor LSI that can offer excellent signal levels and improve black reproduction, as well as allowing Atresmedia to produce 4K content in future. In addition, this model is compatible with HD and SD signal formats, such as 1080 / 50p, 1080 / 60p, 720 / 50p and 720 / 59.94p, which produce high quality images.
The agreement between Sony and Atresmedia Corporación S.A. has been completed with an order that includes the following equipment: 18 HDC-1700cameras, 18 OLED HDVF-EL75 viewfinders, 8 HDVF-L10 LCD displays, 32 HDCU-3100camera control units and 24 RCP-1500joysticks, among others accessories. Therefore, through this new acquisition, Atresmedia will have a total of more than 70 Sony High Definition cameras for the production of its most outstanding programmes with an extraordinary image quality.
