Telestream and Cloudian to demonstrate media-aware storage solution at NAB 2019

Cloudian today announced a new collaboration with Telestream to deliver media-aware storage and content processing that enables users to extract greater value from their video and audio files. Combining Telestream Vantage and Cloudian HyperStore technologies, the joint solution provides advanced intelligence for search and analysis of media files by leveraging automated enriched metadata tagging. The companies will be highlighting the new offering at NAB 2019, April 8-11, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Ever-increasing video resolutions, new distribution outlets and changing viewership behaviors are all driving the continued explosion of media content. As a result, media professionals are not only struggling with how to manage and protect this growing content but also looking for ways to monetize or otherwise capitalize on it. Drawing on their respective expertise in content delivery and capacity-intensive workflow storage, Telestream and Cloudian have created a solution that addresses these challenges and enables media organizations to realize the full value of their content libraries.

Under the joint offering, Telestream Vantage creates a media-aware overlay on the Cloudian HyperStore object storage platform. Vantage processes and analyzes media files, providing services such as auto-transcription and captioning, keyword analysis, ingest workflow and asset QC automation, and active library management functions. It also automatically creates enriched metadata that is stored with the associated content in HyperStore. As a result, customers can more easily search, discover and analyze media files and develop programmatic metadata-driven workflow automation within the HyperStore environment.

In addition to enhanced media-aware intelligence, the joint solution leverages Cloudian’s object storage architecture to provide limitless, non-disruptive scalability and—through its geo-distribution features—ready access to content no matter where it physically resides, on site or in a public cloud. All this enables more efficient and cost-effective collaboration.

The Cloudian-Telestream solution is available now from both companies and will be featured in both Cloudian’s NAB booth (#SL6821) and Telestream’s NAB booth (#SL3308).
