Triveni Digital Explores Impact of ATSC 3.0 at TVOT Live  Spring 2021

Triveni Digital today announced that the company's leaders will share their expertise and insights on the ATSC 3.0 ecosystem, solutions, and forecasts through a series of interactive panel discussions at TVOT Live! Spring 2021. At the virtual event, Mark Corl, the company's senior vice president of emergent technology development, will predict how ATSC 3.0 will transform broadcast TV in the long term. Mark Simpson, president and CEO of Triveni Digital, will offer his thoughts on the benefits of ATSC 3.0 for automotive use cases.

Corl's session, "How ATSC 3.0 Will Transform Broadcast TV," examines the new capabilities enabled by ATSC 3.0, including 4K and UHD HDR, enhanced audio, rich user interfaces, interactivity, personalization, improved measurement, addressable TV, shoppable TV, increased content security, distance learning, multichannel TV, and non-TV applications. Panelists will assess the progress made to date in enabling and rolling out new capabilities, predicting the role they will play in the future of broadcast TV. The session will be moderated by Madeleine Noland, president of ATSC, and takes place on Wednesday, April 28, from 4:35 to 5:20 p.m. EDT. A well-known leader in ATSC 3.0 standardization, Corl brings his deep knowledge and expertise in developing ATSC 1.0 and ATSC 3.0 to the discussion.

Simpson's session explores "Use Cases for ATSC 3.0," focusing on the automobile sector, with an overview of the progress made in Detroit's Motown 3.0 Open Test Track and a recap of the results of recent field testing. The session will evaluate the potential for ATSC 3.0 in the automotive environment, highlighting infotainment, software delivery, and fleet management. The session takes place on Wednesday, April 28, from 5:20 to 6 p.m. EDT and will be moderated by Kerry Oslund, vice president of strategy and business development at Scripps. As president of Triveni Digital and an active contributor to the development of ATSC 3.0, Simpson has keen insights on the NextGen TV ecosystem and potential use cases, which he will bring to attendees at the TVOT Live! session.
