- Agent-IC Functionality Is Now Available for Mac and Windows PCs -

ALAMEDA, USA – April 15, 2021 –Clear-Com^® Clear-Com has released the new Station-IC™ Virtual Desktop Client, a Mac and Windows-based software application that connects to Clear Com’s Eclipse^® Digital intercom Matrix and coming soon, the LQ^® Series of IP interface devices. Station-IC users connect natively to a central intercom system that hosts essential services such as audio and control systems, as well as panels, beltpacks, and even two-way radios or endpoints from other intercom manufacturers. Bringing Agent-IC’s intuitive UI to the desktop, with the added benefit of more licensing options and a flexible application window, both local and remote users can benefit from high-quality audio with very low latency. Designed to be quick to deploy with a straightforward configuration process and minimal network configuration, users can be communicating in a matter of minutes.

Independent Sound Mixer Alan Meyerson has worked on a multitude of high-profile films and video games, like Star Wars, Shrek and Gears of War. Prism Sound audio conversion equipment is playing a key role in a marathon restoration project that will see 233 analogue master tapes converted into useable digital WAV. files.

The tapes belong to Good Time Records (GTR), an international catalogue owner and label with offices in the UK and US (Nashville). Content included in these tapes comes from the Crash, Satril and Catawba labels, all three of which were formerly administered by the Henry Hadaway Organisation (HHO), a company established in 1969 by Henry Hadaway MBE.

HHO became an innovator in the independent record label sector and it achieved great success during the 1970s and 1980s with artists such as The Sandpipers, The Rockin’ Berries, Kenny Lynch, Frankie Vaughan, Lyn Paul (ex-New Seekers), The Tweets, Marvin Gaye, Wilson Picket, Brook Benton and Jackie Moore. GTR, which regularly buys vintage catalogues, acquired the Crash, Satril and Catawba labels in 2020 as part of a multi-label catalogue deal.

The masters currently being restored comprise the recording archive of the former Satril Studios in North London. Among them is The Birdie Song by The Tweets, which sold over 1.6 million copies in the UK alone.

The digitization of GTR’s archive is being undertaken by sound engineer Graham Joiner, who runs a specialist audio restoration company in Brentwood, Essex. His studio is equipped with three Prism Sound Titan audio interfaces, which were specifically acquired to tackle the GTR project.

Cinevideo has once again turned to Calrec with the launch of its new, market-leading 12G UHD HDR truck. The company has installed a40-fader Artemis and router core alongside a compact and powerful 96-channel Brio36. The deal has been overseen by Calrec’s Italian partner Leading Technologies.

RTL Audio Centre Berlin has chosen latest-generation DHD Audio RX2, TX and XC2 networked sound mixers for its new headquarters. Located in the FÜRST development area on Berlin's Kurfürstendamm, the facility houses 104.6 RTL, 105’5 Spreeradio, 93.6 Jam FM and RTL Germany’s Hitradio. It is also home to the Bertelsmann Audio Alliance, RTL Audio Marketing, Digital Media Hub and RTL Radio Deutschland. The DHD Audio equipment was supplied, configured and installed by broadcast systems integrator audioone, also based in Berlin.

Joe Sanchez,Sound Engineer and Owner of a boutique live sound and broadcast production company, was recently approached to assist with the communications integration for a high-profile motion capture video project involving American rapper, Post Malone. With an extremely tight deadline and a need for the primary shot callers to remote-in, this project already posed some unique challenges. Radio Television Malaysia has undertaken a major upgrade of its regional station, PerlisFM, located in the northern Perlis state of the country, installing six Calrec Type R for Radio consoles as part of a significant move to a modern studio and to implement a new IP audio network infrastructure. The facility is now the reference for all future upgrades to RTM’s other regional stations.

Taking advantage of fully redundant fabric, high density links, and flexibility for different workflows, Canada-based Dome Productions has unveiled a new all-IP SMPTE 2110 OB mobile unit replete with a Calrec Apollo digital audio console. Called Gateway, the truck is Dome’s first large scale, all IP, UHD/HDR unit and is currently being used for TSN and Rogers SportsNet on their hockey broadcasts. The deal has been managed by Calrec’s Canadian partner SC Media.
