LitraStudio and trade; Crushes it 30-feet Below for Pete Romano ASC

Few know underwater cinematography and how to light the great blue sea, better than Pete Romano ASC. His unique specialty has made him sought after for most major films where’s there’s any underwater action. His 40-year underwater track record is unmatched. IMDB tries but at 159 credits for film and television they just skim the surface, especially considering the multitude of commercials, music videos and documentaries to count.

Graham Sheldon DPs Remote Cinematography for New Docu-series

When Graham Sheldon got the call from showrunner Johnny Fountain to be his DP for Remote Production on the new Behind Every Man series, he was up to the challenge. Sheldon’s technical background, and his willingness to try new and potentially un-proven shooting methods made him uniquely capable of professionally capturing the interview-heavy docu-series amid COVID-19 restrictions.

Behind Every Man shines the spotlight on the strong black women behind famous men, focusing on the passions, struggles and sacrifices they have endured to support the men they love. Hosted by Melody Holt, featured couples include: Tammy and Kirk Franklin; singer-songwriter Ne-Yo and his wife Crystal Smith; Wyclef Jean and Marie Claudinette, Usher and his mother Jonnetta Patton, and many more.

DPA MICROPHONES CELEBRATES THE HOLIDAYS WITH 14th ANNUAL and ldquo;CHRISTMAS AT DEPAUL and rdquo; SPECTACULAR

DePaul University, the largest Catholic university in the United States, recently presented its 14th annual “Christmas at DePaul” holiday celebration as a virtual event. VISTA Worldlink Adds Excitement to Womens Soccer TV Return from COVID-19 Hiatus with VSG and Envivo Replay Posted: 18/12/2020
VISTA Worldlink Adds Excitement to Women and rsquo;s Soccer and nbsp;TV Return from COVID-19 Hiatus with VSG and rsquo;s Envivo Replay and nbsp;

VISTA Worldlink, an independently owned global media solutions provider, used two Envivo Replay systems from Variant Systems Group to help produce coverage of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) when it returned to action.

COVID-19 concerns suspended U.S. sports leagues in March. The NWSL launched the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup on June 27, making it the first professional team sports league to return to action in the United States. All 23 matches, which aired on a variety of CBS platforms as well as Twitch, were played in Utah. The tournament concluded on July 26 with the Houston Dash winning its first trophy in franchise history.

VISTA has been producing coverage of the NWSL for four seasons, and the Challenge Cup was its second season with Envivo Replay. “We’ve used it on many, many events over the past two years,” said Josh Liemer, president of VISTA Worldlink. “It’s been very successful.”

Cybathlon 2020 Goes Virtual, Coordinating Live Team Competition from 20 Countries with TVU Networks Posted: 17/12/2020
Cybathlon 2020 Goes Virtual, Coordinating Live Team Competition from 20 Countries with TVU Networks and nbsp;

Last month, 51 teams from 20 countries competed in Cybathlon 2020 Global Edition, a series of races in which people with disabilities used exoskeletons, brain-computer interfaces, and other state-of-the-art assistance systems to complete everyday tasks. Teams were unable to gather in Zurich, Switzerland, due to COVID-19 restrictions, and instead opted for TVU Networks remote production solutions – including TVU One mobile transmitters, the TVU Anywhere mobile broadcasting app, and the TVU Partyline collaborative platform – which helped teams provide multi-camera video from around the world to create a live streaming event.

“The goal was to find a solution that could transmit high-quality live video over the internet from multiple locations around the world,” explained Thomas Stäubli, CEO of BBM Productions, whose team produced nine hours of live streaming content. “TVU was able to seamlessly combine live footage from professional cameras and camera phones into the same production.”

ERA IaaS at University of Salford
KitPlus The University of Salford (UoS) is widely recognised in both academic and professional circles as a leading educational establishment in acoustics and media production. In 2011 the University moved its television and radio courses from its main campus just outside Salford city centre into the Orange Tower on the main piazza of MediaCityUK (MCUK).

This purpose-built hub for broadcasters, facility houses and production companies was created when redevelopment of the old Salford Quays docks area began in 2007. UoS was among the first institutions to consider moving to MCUK, along with the BBC, which had already committed to transfer many of its departments from London.

Using Modern Technology at Envy Provides a View into the Future of Post Production
Michael Darer ENVY’s use of modern technology, including remote edit capabilities and their expansive use of Signiant Media Shuttle, enables them to collaborate with customers and partners around the world, and made the transition to remote work during the COVID-19 pandemic any easy one. Although project files and media are stored securely on-premises at ENVY’s facilities in London, they are able to collaborate globally thanks to their forward-thinking approach to post production.

The Importance of Audio Production Systems
Tom Knowles Large-scale entertainment programming presents a unique set of challenges for broadcasters. Often extremely high-profile keystones of a broadcaster’s schedule and increasingly billed as live ‘event television’, as well as delivering the very best audio quality they demand a huge degree of flexibility and agility in terms of their production. With music being such a core component of their appeal to growing audiences, in both linear broadcast and online, nowhere is that more important than their audio production systems.

How to engage students with live projects
Martin Andrews For many employers, how and what we teach at university is sometimes considered to be very mysterious. The responsibility for creating the structure and content within the curriculum is the responsibility of academics. In my experience, the best method for making sure that students and staff are kept up to date with current working practices is to regularly engage with ‘Live’ projects and ‘Real’ clients.

The Business Case for Hybrid TV and AI
Oliver Botti Video on demand (VOD) and OTT live services have come a long way since their introduction and, rather than solely competing with traditional broadcasting, they are becoming more important than ever in helping to keep broadcast TV networks popular, in particular when combining TV broadcasting with online TV into Hybrid TV models, thanks to convergence standards such as HbbTV and Atsc3.0. In the UK, the average weekly OTT viewing minutes shot up from 60 in July 2015 to 152 in September 2018. Meanwhile, OTT TV and video revenues are expected to reach $6.8 billion by 2023 in the UK and $61 billion in the US.
