Grass Valley announces that a suite of its live production solutions are central to GOL TV’s newly upgraded mobile fleet and studios. In a large and complex multimillion dollar deal, the Tenfield-owned bilingual soccer channel has selected Grass Valley cameras, switchers, replay and highlights and IP routing and infrastructure – all fully integrated with third-party equipment – to provide an end-to-end workflow that will support live sporting events, live musical shows and news productions. This system upgrade equips GOL TV to strengthen its position in live production for LATAM with futureproofed capability, including IP and 4K UHD HDR.

Grass Valley is continuing to lead the industry transition to a cloud-first, software-based future with the appointment of media technology expert Barbara DeHart as director of alliances for the GV Media Universe. In this newly created role, DeHart will focus all of Grass Valley’s strategic partnerships on bringing together high-performance solutions from recognized broadcast technology vendors into a unified cloud-native ecosystem.

Creative Solutions announces that Teradek has partnered with Frame.io to support Frame.io C2C (Camera to Cloud), a cloud-based workflow that bridges on-set camera capture with post-production NLE systems. This revolutionary process is poised to forever transform the way in which production and editorial interact. 

At launch, the Teradek Cube 655 video encoder will be the only device capable of capturing color-accurate proxy files directly from camera video feeds and uploading them into the Frame.io cloud system via WiFi, LTE, or 5G.
