Ex-World Cup Laowa VE2414PL 24mm f/14 Probe Lens (ARRI PL, Cine-Mod Version)

The Laowa VE2414PL 24 mm f/14 Probe Lens is a truly one-of-a-kind close-up lens. This macro lens, distinguished by its long and slender lens barrel, offers a 2:1 maximum magnification, a 1.5′ minimum focusing distance, and a close 0.8″ minimum working distance. Despite its close working distance, the lens is 1.3′ long, which puts you at a comfortable distance to photograph nearby subjects. Furthermore, as a wide-angle lens, it has a greater depth of field than traditional telephoto macro lenses, allowing for more detail in the background with less subject isolation.

The Future of Broadcast Technology
Manfred Reitmeier

Now that OTT and VOD have become more mainstream, many commentators talk about traditional broadcast methods, like terrestrial transmission, being a thing of the past. With so many new platforms and non-traditional content services carving out a growing slice of the market, you can be forgiven for thinking that linear over-the-air television is on its way out. The reality is that the industry must strike a balance between meeting consumers’ shifting habits and the business and operational needs of content providers.

Chris Smeeton

One of the major changes for broadcasters during the pandemic has been the shift towards remote production; by no means a new phenomenon in an IP environment, yet accelerated under lockdown to accommodate travel and gathering restrictions. Accurate Ad Tracking with OTT
Tim Armstrong As viewers embrace and transition to OTT, the opportunities and flexibility provided to advertisers are growing fast. However, like all technology shifts, this transition hasn’t come without challenges. Some technology used to monetise video over the years has resulted in a less-than-ideal viewing experience, with disruptive transitions and buffering two of the main issues. The good news is that advances in ad insertion technology mean content providers can now deliver a seamless OTT viewing experience, as well as addressable advertising options. This paves the way for the delivery of high-quality ad viewing while growing the advertiser's ROI.
