AVC-Systems Selects Leader LV5600 as IP Demo Reference Core
Posted: 19/04/2021
AVC-Systems AG has invested in a Leader LV5600 SDI/IP multi-screen waveform monitor as the reference core of a new IP demonstration unit. Based at the company's headquarters in Einsiedeln canton Schwyz, in the central part of Switzerland, the demonstrator will be used to explain the operational and technical advantages of IP connectivity to Swiss TV and radio channel managers, content producers, broadcast systems integrators and telco service providers. "The LV5600 is ideal as a demonstration reference as it incorporates all the tools needed to make reliable and repeatable signal measurements from initial production right through to playout," says AVC-Systems CEO Raphael Kaelin. "Designed for use in studio control galleries, OB vehicles, post-production suites and playout centres, it allows multiple sources to be compared side-by-side on the internal screen or viewed on a larger display via the rasterizing output."

ATEME Solidifies Presence in MENA Region with Nilesat Tender Wins
Posted: 15/04/2021
ATEME, the leader in video delivery solutions for broadcast, cable TV, DTH, IPTV and OTT, today announced that Nilesat, one of the leading satellite service providers delivering digital television, radio, and data services across the Middle East and Africa, has chosen to implement its TITAN Live platform for two projects, increasing ATEME’s presence in the MENA region. In the first of two tender wins, ATEME TITAN Live will enable contribution over IP via a new fiber link between Nilesat and Egyptian Media Production City (EMPC), an information and media complex with studios and outdoor shooting areas for production companies. This architecture enables EMPC to transfer content much faster than with the previous traditional SDI networks. ATEME’s TITAN Live video headend has also been selected to enable Nilesat to expand its current video processing infrastructure for the Egyptian (ENMA) channels. This allows ENMA to increase its footprint internationally. |
