Posted: 11/08/2022
Mediaset SpA has invested in DHD audio mixers for its Milan-based R101 radio and TV broadcast service. Transmitting via terrestrial digital and online, R101 is fully focused on music and entertainment including performance-related news. The project was supervised by DHD's Milan-based distribution partner BVmedia SRL. It centred on the modernisation of R101's technical facilities to increase operational efficiency and upgrade signal quality. "The solution we recommended and have integrated includes DHD RX2 modular mixing consoles for use in the production and presentation control rooms plus two TX compact touchscreen mixers for the newsroom edit suites," comments Roberto Zeccara, BVmedia's Senior Project Manager. "We also designed, installed and tested an audio routing matrix supporting programme contributions from five different studios. DHD's RX2 and TX mixers were chosen for their operational versatility, ease of set-up and customisation, plus their impressive combination of signal quality, reliability, space efficiency, robust build and price."

GAHRENS + BATTERMANN Leverages AJA Gear to Produce Standout Live Events in UltraHD HDR
Posted: 29/07/2022
Last fall, G+B deployed a mobile control room to live stream a press conference from the IAA Exhibition in Munich, Germany – complete with key/fill overlays for lower thirds – for one of Germany’s most well-known automotive brands. The project required a dedicated workflow including a switcher and playback systems, and signal distribution to six large LED screens on the client’s exhibition booth. Considering the nature of the project, audio and video demands, and space restrictions, G+B relied extensively on the equipment in the mobile control room to manage the job.
