By leveraging the wider vari-white CCT range of 2700-6500K, the Light Storm LS300X LED Light Kit from Aputure is the first Aputure light to go beyond conventional bicolour illumination, giving warmer tungsten tones and colder than daylight whites.

The main difference between the two control boxes is that the 300x now sports a new CCT control wheel, in addition to the intensity wheel. The 300x CCT dial allows you to fine-tune your CCT in +/- 50K increments. But with the PRESET button located in the middle of the wheel, you can also toggle between 5 common CCT presets (2700K, 3200K, 4300K, 5500K, 6500K) for quick accessibility.

Cloud integration: The only way is up

In 2017 we saw the introduction of SMPTE 2110 and since then, the transition to IP has emerged as a priority for broadcasters looking to streamline their operations, decrease their footprint and effectively integrate with an industry in a rapid state of flux. A 2020 survey by Devoncroft found that almost 20% of broadcasters had already deployed SMPTE 2110, and over 25% were planning to do so. Then came the pandemic, precipitating the need for on-the-fly collaboration and accelerating the transition to remote, virtual and cloud production.
