Ikegami Reports Ongoing Transition from HD-SDR to UHD-HDR and SDI to IP Broadcast Production Through 2022
Posted: 16/01/2023
Ikegami reports ongoing broadcast and professional media innovation throughout 2022 including the Unicam UHK-X750 IP-capable UHD HDR HFR camera plus the R2 Real Remote production system. "UHD-HDR has replaced UHD-SDR as the default standard for consumer TV displays," says Michael Lätzsch, Broadcast & Professional Video Division Manager at Ikegami Electronics (Europe) GmbH. "This in turn has encouraged broadcast-focused production companies to invest in UHD-HDR camera systems. UHD-HDR content is becoming increasingly available online from dedicated streaming channels. A growing number of broadcasters are also supplementing their HD-SDR terrestrial and satellite transmissions with online UHD-SDR content." |

ATG Danmon Completes Broadcast Audio Relay for Iconic Bell Tower
Posted: 10/01/2023
ATG Danmon announces the completion of an audio system located in the clock tower adjacent to one of Europe's longest established national legislatures. The assignment forms the culmination of a five-year restoration project which included repairs to the clock and the masonry of the tower itself. It allows the chimes from the tower's five bells to be captured in very high quality for live transmission as well as for use in news programmes and parliamentary broadcasts. The largest of the five, weighing nearly 14 tonnes, sounds the hour, supplemented by four smaller bells programmed to sound a distinctive sequence each quarter-hour. |
