Introduced at NAB 2016, the KY-PZ100 is JVC's first PTZ camera, features JVC's unique IP communications engine providing network connection via WiFi, 4G-LTE, or direct LAN connection. It's designed to be used as a stand alone remote camera or as part of a multi-camera system in both studio and field environments. In addition to its 3G-SDI and HDMI outputs, it is also capable of reliably streaming 1080i/60, 1080p, 720p, 540p and 270p video with 2-channel audio--all with minimal latency and forward error correction. Camera control is possible from a web browser, or with the dedicated RM-IP100 remote control panel, or from a from a variety of remote units using standard protocol. The camera also includes on-board HD recording at up to 50Mbps to a micro SDHC/SDXC card with the ability to upload the recorded files to an external server. Plug in a WiFi adapter or LTE modem, and you'll have the world's most convenient, high quality robotic camera that can be placed virtually anywhere.

The nonprofit organization, ADTC, carried out the test and certified.
DEATH OF A FOREST, FINALIST IN INTERNATIONAL FOREST FILM FESTIVAL, SHOT WITH JVC PROHD CAMCORDER
A new documentary, Death of a Forest, explores how warmer winters are allowing pine beetles to survive in higher numbers and, as a result, kill millions of acres of pine tree forests in the western United States and Canada. The project, which was shot primarily with the JVC GY-HM700U ProHD camcorder, was named a Finalist in the Shorts category at the 2011 International Forest Film Festival (IFFF), a collaboration between the United Nations Forum on Forests and the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival based in Jackson Hole, Wy.
This article concentrates on what is often described as the weakest link, namely 1) above i.e. the Playback Decks and what could be another weak link, namely 2) i.e. Tape Cleaning Facilities. I have read several articles recently written in the belief that the playback of magnetic video tape will be all but dead in about 20 years due mainly due to lack of working VTRs this inspires me to do something about it.
