Libero Systems Streamlines Capture of Live Equestrian Races for TJK With AJA Corvid 44 Posted: 21/06/2021
Libero Systems Streamlines Capture of Live Equestrian Races for TJK With AJA Corvid 44

Libero Systems launched in 2016 to provide international clients with flexible, automated and future-proofed broadcast technology solutions to handle the demands of modern workflows. To guide the Turkey Jockey Club (TJK) through a recent upgrade of the organization’s broadcast and archival system, Libero Systems installed its multiformat recording system, Libero Ingest built on AJA’s Corvid 44 PCIe card, to support flexible and low-latency video I/O.

TJK organizes more than 700 equestrian races annually in nine different venues across Turkey, requiring a powerful system to broadcast 50 hours of event coverage per week to TJK’s national channel. To meet rigorous uptime demands and provide TJK with a scalable, future-proofed and third-party compatible solution to support its existing broadcast infrastructure, Libero Ingest was selected to record and archive daily races. Using AJA’s Corvid 44 for SDI video capture enables Libero Ingest to support up to eight simultaneous streams as inputs, outputs or a combination with a single PCIe card.

British Columbia-based Ocean Floor Geophysics Relies on Clear-Com and amp; GerrAudio for Rock-Solid Communications

In Ocean Floor Geophysics’ (OFG) work as a provider of underwater analysis and exploration services, rock-solid communications are critical. If your task takes you out into the middle of the ocean, a reliable solution is critical, which is why OFG chose to implement a Clear-Com DX210 Digital Wireless System to guarantee quality communications across all operations. Recently, OFG also added Clear-Com’s LQ® Series of IP Interfaces the Agent-IC® Mobile App to their existing DX™ wireless system to better facilitate remote communications between offshore crews, onshore crews and globally dispersed staff during the pandemic, making their Clear-Com solution even more invaluable than they originally thought.

HOLLYLAND LARK 150 Review
Phil Vinter

The exponential growth of video supercharged a technological revolution that began in the early noughties with the advent of DSLR cameras.
The cinematic-style shallow depth of field image video quality from DSLRs was a revelation, but, back then audio was the big drawback. As demand has grown so the technology has improved and today’s one-man-band small rig set ups can capture pretty good sound into a DSLR style camera.

Phil Vinter reviews the latest release from HOLLYLAND and it's a thumbs up from us.

ERA IaaS at University of Salford
KitPlus The University of Salford (UoS) is widely recognised in both academic and professional circles as a leading educational establishment in acoustics and media production. In 2011 the University moved its television and radio courses from its main campus just outside Salford city centre into the Orange Tower on the main piazza of MediaCityUK (MCUK).

This purpose-built hub for broadcasters, facility houses and production companies was created when redevelopment of the old Salford Quays docks area began in 2007. UoS was among the first institutions to consider moving to MCUK, along with the BBC, which had already committed to transfer many of its departments from London.
