The latest documentary film from award winning photojournalist Fiona Lloyd-Davies, shot with the Panasonic AG-AF101, is being previewed at Panasonic Experience Centre, Pinewood Studios today August 10th 2011.
'Field of Hope' will be aired on Al-Jazeera English Channel in a programme called ‘Witness’ from 30th August until 6th September 2011.
In the Democratic Republic of Congo - one of the most hostile environments in the world – Fiona Lloyd-Davies captured visually dramatic scenes of both the subject and the landscapes, using the AF101 - a camera recorder that gives the look and feel of 35mm film with a narrow depth of field and vibrant intensity in full high definition.
In the film Fiona Lloyd-Davies tells the story of Masika and the other women that she gives support to – all victims of multiple rape and violent assaults. The film juxtaposes their stories with a symbol of hope – a new crop of beans that brings with it the hope of a better future for the women.
