Radio cameras bring a live broadcast to life
Tony Valentino Radio cameras bring a live broadcast to life - especially news, sports and studio shows - by their ability to roam around and move in closer to a subject. They capture a more natural spectator's view than a camera that is fixed at one point, and usually get the most intimate shots and the most exciting angles in a production. Today they are indispensable for covering large outdoor events - but if they have a weakness, it is probably the antenna.

TV Futures
Gemma Frith I used to hate audio. Every time we recorded audio on a location shoot, something seemed to go wrong. It was a nightmare. And because I didn't understand it, I avoided it and would do anything to not be responsible for recording sound. However, eventually it got to a point where I hated how much I hated audio more than I hated audio itself! It became frustrating that I couldn't get it right, and I didn't want to have to avoid it anymore; I wanted to become a master of audio. That may have been slightly ambitious, but still, I was going to try.

Introduction to FM Single Frequency Networks
Werner Drews Single Frequency Networks (SFNs) are a form of broadcast network design where several transmitters use the same frequency channel to send the same signal. SFNs are usually used for radio and digital TV broadcasting FM, AM and digital radio can be transmitted over SFNs while analog television is more problematic because the multiple signal sources tend to produce ghosting.

Capturing awesome audio
[author] If you look at the industry as a whole, the rapid evolution of camera technology is drifting away from audio, despite the importance of compatibility between the two. Meaning its becoming harder to plug straight into camera.

Drive Carefully. Youre Tough, but youre not Invincible. The Armys Uncompromising New Message.
N/A The Army has always suffered from a high number of off-duty Road Traffic Accidents. This is hardly surprising. We deliberately seek to attract young men and women who are seeking fun and adventure. It has always been a worry to the chain of command that high numbers of young soldiers have ended up being killed tragically on the roads in their own time, and has confounded years of driving experts as to how to reduce accidents, especially when messages must be careful not to breed risk aversion in an essentially risk-embracing profession.
