Highlighted AS-02 support 3G-SDI fiber routing switcher NAB collaboration P R ESA, a leading U.S.-based custom design and build manufacturing company for professional audio and video signal distribution, have announced a new concept in fiber optic backplane design that uses MiniCube Miniature Form Pluggable (MFP) transmitter technology from Advanced Fiber Products, LLC. Introduced as the world’s first 3G-SDI MFP fiber routing switcher, the MFP option backplane for PESAs Jaguar 3 6464 series will be on display at the 2012 NAB Show (Booth SL9615), which runs through April 19 in Las Vegas, Nev. D:Fine headset mic’s TW and Calrec Audio, jointly announced at NAB Show that the RTW TM7 TouchMonitor will be fully integrated into Calrecs line of digital audio consoles. As a result of this partnership, RTW will provide the OEM version of the TM7 TouchMonitor touch screen loudness meter to be built into Calrecs full range of digital consoles, including the Apollo, Artemis Shine, Artemis Beam and Artemis Light consoles. The TM7 will be integrated into the upstand of the consoles, providing various metering options. For example, on the Artemis consoles, both single and double meters layouts are available. The benefit of the double meter option (one above the other) is to show moving coil emulation along with a separate vector scope. D PA Microphones, the manufacturer of high-level reference and headset microphones, featured its d:fine series of headset microphones at NAB. Named to reflect their accurate audio definition and natural sonic characteristics, the d:fine headset mics offer consistent audio performance at all sound pressure levels, from a whisper to a shout, impressive gain-before-feedback and stable construction. The d:fine series is available as omnidirectional and directional and includes a long and a short mic boom mounted on either a single-ear mount or a dual-ear mount. Launching Tallyman VP with touch screen T SL Professional Products Ltd., a leading manufacturer of audio monitoring, tally and power management products for the broadcast industry,  launched the TallyMan VP (Virtual Panel) with touch screen at NAB. Inaugural support for Windows Azure Media Services Wowza Media Systems have announced that customers will have the option of delivering audio and video content using Wowza Media Server(R) 3 running in the newly announced Windows Azure Media Services. The award-winning Wowza platform will initially support on-demand streaming on Windows Azure Media Services, with any-screen delivery to Adobe(R) Flash(R), Apple(R) iPhone(R) and iPad(R), Android(TM), Microsoft Smooth Streaming, and other media player technologies and devices. The integration of Wowza Media Server with Windows Azure Media Services will allow customers to make instant use of the automatic scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of Windows Azure to build out audio and video streaming products for their end users.
