Releasing the world’s smallest 3G routing matrix U K based TV equipment manufacturer TTR have just released a new range of compact broadcast quality 3G routing matrices designed from extensive customer feedback. The entry level router is a desk mounted 4X2 re-clocked dual output device, this was developed for use in edit suite applications where the operator has local control of a front panel mounted interface. Adding to the range is the stylish 1u rack mounted versions in 4x2, 8x2, 8X4, 16X2 and 16 x4 combinations. All routers have local front panel and RS232 control functionality.  The router footprint is small measuring only 142 x 62 mm making this design the world’s smallest 3G matrix, it will lend itself to small custom designs where space is at a premium. After much research TTR have also incorporated a version into a custom Rack mount 1U case thus allowing a mix and match product format within a 1u rack space. Recent customers have purchased a test pattern generator and 4X2 router combination all mounted in a dual 1U case.  When tested in the lab on a 1080P 50Hz test signal jitter rates of less than 0.15UI have been observed making this matrix a strong contender for the high end broadcast market. 12 | TV-BAY MAGAZINE TV-BAY067JUL12.indd 12 05/07/2012 22:23
