Open and shut case, showcase, case study, it’s in the bag – oh the fun we could have had with the titles in this issue! We are not only talking about protecting your kit with some of the industry’s leading case solutions but also under our “security” umbrella we’ve got your content and asset’s well and truly covered. With higher bandwidths and availability of content there has never been a better time for digital piracy from outright criminals to hackers (a “hacking accomplishments” league table really exists!) to confused consumers which given the plethora of devices and downloads we might all have been guilty of at one time or another. IBC has been heralded yet another record year with visitors up. The news section this month is packed with reports following the show together with Will’s “unofficial awards” for the best in show camera innovations this year. You won’t miss the feast of QR codes as well which will link to a video interview of the product in question at IBC. The new university year has just started and in a new series we’ll be following three students in their final year of studies at Ravensbourne. They will be reporting on their hopes and fears, highs and lows and ultimately the outcome from their hard work will be for all to see... no pressure then! Many manufacturers are looking outside of traditional broadcast at alternative horizontal markets and the second new feature we’re kicking off this issue starts with how a new mini zoom lens is benefiting the medical industry. Peter also looks at the financial and business planning side of diversification with an interesting case study. You can catch up with our monthly chat show at www.broadcastShow.com/LIVE with the next live stream on 17th October at 7pm. Any questions arising from this issue or any other can be sent to live@broadcastshow.com where our guests will do their best to answer them on the show.
