WORLD NEWS Plug in for Adobe Premiere Pro CC M etus Technology, Turkeys leading software company, have announced that it has developed a Metus Media Asset Management plug-in for Adobe® Premiere® Pro CC software.  With the Metus MAM plug- in, editors can use Adobe Premiere Pro to reach the central archive, drag and drop the desired content to the Premiere Pro timeline and automatically import content before rendering. Then the output is imported back to the archive via Metus watch folders. For a complete integration experience, all these stages are controlled via an embedded Metus MAM window within Premiere Pro. This new feature saves time and effort while making the editing and archiving process easier for editors. www.metus.com RTE shortlisted for prestigious IBC Award Go steady… H ague Camera Supports have now released an Action Camera version of the extremely popular MMC Mini Motion Cam stabilizer. The MMC has been the best-selling small handheld stabilizer of its type since it was first designed several years ago. Hague have already brought out a smart phone version of the stabilizer and now the MMC-GO has arrived to provide a stabilizing solution for the wide range of action cameras now available. The Hague Motion-Cam Go is a handheld stabilizing system which enables action cameras such as the GoPro to be used to give super smooth “Steadicam type” shots. The action camera screws directly onto the 1/4” screw on the mount which fastens to the stabilizer with adjustment for moving the camera forward and back for balancing. At the bottom of the Mini Motion-Cam is an adjustable counterbalance platform with weights. Once balanced it is quick and simple to level off the camera. A selection of counterbalance weights are supplied for balancing the camera. £62.00 ex vat www.haguecamerasupports.com I rish national broadcaster Raidi Teilifis Eireann (RTE) is one of just three finalists for the IBC2013 Innovation Award for Content Management. Its nomination is in recognition of its decisive move towards a fully file-based infrastructure driven by automated workflows, in a project enabled by technology from TMD and implemented by local distributor and systems integrator Eurotek. FAST file acquisition and server technology is unique in the way it presents the workflow design capability to the user. As well as managing all of RTs content, Mediaflex from TMD also provides the workflow engine. For the first time, FAST workflows are not hard-coded into the system: Mediaflex allows users to assemble their own pre-sets and routines and build them into the required workflows themselves. The IBC Awards Ceremony takes place at 18.30 on Sunday 15 September, in the Auditorium in the RAI Centre.
