RAI Amsterdam EVENT NEWS Watch in action at NAB this year... Conference 12-17 September 2013 Conference 13-17 September 2013 Sony Stand: 12.A10 S Photon Beard Stand: 11.D43 P hoton Beard, the UK lighting solutions specialists for broadcast, film and video will introduce Square One to the international marketplace at IBC 2013. Square One is exactly what it says on the box, a one-foot (30 cm) square fluorescent lighting panel that produces more light, more economically, than any other 1x1 fixture in the marketplace. The Square One panel includes eight 5/8 diameter fluorescent tubes that deliver the equivalent of 110W of balanced illumination, but at only 64W. What sets Square One further ahead of the pack is its consistent, predictable colour results with fewer of the spikes and spectral variations associated with LED fixtures. Square One is also dimmable for maximum flexibility and can be powered either direct from AC power or for approximately one hour with a V or ‘Gold’ mount camera battery. Aspen Media / DirectOut GMBH Stand: 8.E85 A NDIAMO.MC, which sets a new benchmark for mic preamp innovation and the latest in DirectOuts ANDIAMO range of MADI converters, is now being shipped by broadcast audio distributor Aspen Media. It’s no surprise that ANDIAMO.MC delivers an uncompromising, high quality and affordable 32 channel mic pre-amp as it has been designed by DirectOuts Stephan Flock who, in his own right, is a renowned classical recording engineer. ANDIAMO.MC combines 32 channels of A-grade mic preamp and A/D conversion with 32 line returns in an easily transportable 2U 19 enclosure. It can be operated from the front panel or remotely using PC software and LEDs on the front panel give a quick check of signal condition of all the input and output channels. Using the full MADI routing matrix under PC control, patching any input, analogue or MADI, to any output or a single input to multiple outputs couldnt be simpler. ony has announced that it will be returning to IBC this September to showcase how it is continuing to deliver on its beyond definition vision through innovative products and services. IBC2013 gives Sony the opportunity to share its vision for the broadcast industry. Through exciting developments in technology, products, solutions and services, Sony is pushing the boundaries of what is possible and creating a world beyond definition. Sony will be showing how it is working with the industry to help meet consumer demand for content rich formats such as 4K and allowing its customers to take the lead in content creation and distribution. Also, Sony was responsible for shooting and recording part of this year’s Wimbledon Championships in 4K; yet another technological landmark for the AELTC (All England Lawn and Tennis Club) and Sony. 22 | TV-BAY MAGAZINE: ISSUE 80 AUGUST 2013 C M Y CM MY CY CMY K
