WORLD NEWS A record year for HHB H First Sony 0% finance deal done at IBC2013 F ineline Media Finance has facilitated the first deal under Sony’s new 0% 2 year finance scheme during IBC2013. Under the scheme, OB specialist Telegenic has invested in eight HDC-2500R camera channels to scale up its fleet of Sony system cameras. As Sony’s preferred financial services supplier, Fineline can offer this new scheme which offers 0% finance for 24 months on a range of Sony Professional products. Telegenic turned to WTS, Sony Specialist Dealer, to supply the cameras. Thanks to the longstanding relationships between Sony, Fineline and WTS, the deal was completed in record time to fit with Telegenics requirements. MXF option for LMB processor The first truly modular control panel NUGEN Audio, creator of intuitive tools for audio professionals, has announced the availability of a new MXF file-handling option for the company’s powerful Loudness Management Batch (LMB) processor. LMB is an offline loudness analysis and correction tool for OS X® and Windows® environments that delivers network-based, automated loudness-processing for large numbers of audio and video files without requiring user intervention. The new option introduces native MXF audio- handling that enables LMB to perform automated analysis and correction of audio in an MXF container while preserving all other data within the file. HB Communications Ltd. has reported the biggest year yet for broadcast audio at IBC after record- breaking attendance and significant product debuts created heavy footfall on its stand in Hall 8. IBC has announced that over 52,000 attendees from 150 countries visited this year, making it a second record- breaking year for the show.
