Using the power of the Cloud A frame, whose cloud video production and asset management platform accelerates professional video workflows, has debuted Aframe Logger, a new capability for broadcasters and video production professionals that makes it far faster and easier to log footage and make video content searchable. As a cloud-based solution, Aframe Logger is available anywhere and anytime from any laptop or desktop and doesn’t tie the user down to a certain post facility or edit suite. RCP ethernet connectivity for camera control Cobham Broadcast, the RF specialist company that uses highly advanced communications technologies to empower broadcast users, introduced Ethernet connectivity for remote camera control at IBC2013. The move is particularly beneficial to OB truck owners or operators who typically have to physically relocate hard-wired connections to each remote cameras controller, a considerable and inconvenient time waster for multi- camera productions of any size. RS-232 and RS-485 camera control solutions, although efficient, have one major flaw. Every time a remote control panel (RCP) is allocated or changed it requires manual intervention. With Ethernet connectivity between the systems indoor unit and master control unit, all you have to do to change or add controllers is to reassign the IP address of each RCP to whichever camera you want and you’re done. No moving parts. No crawling behind a console to plug or unplug respective control devices. No problem.
