New portable 2-channel V-LOK battery charger H awk-Woods have extended their V-Lok range with a compact simultaneous 2-channel fast charger and power supply unit. The VL-2X2 has been designed to be as portable as possible whilst having all the functionality of a conventional charger and more. This compact unit has an ergonomically designed carry-handle and robust folding stabiliser arms at its base. Its rugged construction and ease of use, combined with a weight of less than 1kg makes the VL-2X2 the ideal charger for location shoots and situations where the user needs to travel as light as possible and the VL- 2X2 does this without compromising elsewhere.  A simple LED display tells the user when charging has completed on each channel and a switch on the rear of the unit enables the user to select between charging and the VL- 2X2s other function: a mains power supply unit. Capable of providing 60W at 15V via 4-pin XLR output; the power supply function enhances the portability and usability of the VL- 2X2. Hawk-Woods can also make one-off power cables to suit individual requirements. 14 | TV-BAY MAGAZINE: ISSUE 83 NOVEMBER 2013 Real-time AV and comms network R iedel Communications, provider of pioneering real-time video, audio, data, and communications networks, have announced that it provided Australia’s New South Wales (NSW) Government and the City of Sydney with a citywide TETRA system and MediorNet real-time network, as well as Artist intercom systems, to enable flexible, reliable signal transport throughout the International Fleet Review.
