Editing Metus, the MAM software developer, has introduced QuickCut, a lightweight clip editor that can play, trim and assemble clips, and exports fi les, without rendering. The Windows-based software does not require highly specced hardware but supports MXF, XDCAM, MPEG-2, MP4. “QuickCut is all about speed editing: its fast to load, easy to learn and can run alongside other software without issue,” said Mustafa Yilmaz, managing director of Metus. At launch, Quickcut is bundled with Ingest Professional, Metus’ multi-channel ingest, streaming and transcoding product. Headquartered in Denmark, Logickeyboard develops shortcut keyboards for creative professionals that use Final Cut Pro, Edius, Media Composer and Vegas Pro.
