NEWS MANIPULATE & EDIT Digital consoles Sales of Calrec Audio’s Summa sound console have passed the 20 mark following a deal with SuperSport Outside Broadcast in South Africa. Since July, Calrec has sold desks into the US, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Turkey, Italy, South Africa, South Korea, and Kuwait. The most recent deal saw two Summa consoles replace existing audio desks in SuperSport’s OB-7 and OB-8 units. Johan van Tonder, technical operations manager at SuperSport, said: “We trust our entire fl eet of large trucks to Calrec, and now that the Summa desk is available, we can take advantage of the Calrec benefi ts in our small OB vans as well.” www.calrec.com Routing Post and VFX house Smoke & Mirrors has installed Imagine Communications’ Platinum IP3 as part of its move to a larger facility in London.
