NEWS CAPTURE & PRODUCE 3D tracking Vitec Videocom has agreed terms on an exclusive sales and distribution deal that will see it market and sell Ncam Technologies’ 3D tracking solution to the global broadcast market. The Ncam camera tracking system features a multi-sensor camera bar that is unobtrusively mounted on the camera. Through its tracking server, Ncam provides real-time, position and rotation information, plus focal length and focus via industry standard protocols compatible with any VR/AR graphics system. It is suitable for a wide range of applications both indoors, outdoors and across all camera rigs, including handheld and spring arm type stabilisers. The FiDO-4T-ST and FiDO-4R-ST enable quad-channel SDI to ST Fibre and ST Fibre to SDI, allowing Fibre transmission of 4K and UHD signals. The HA5-4K converts UHD/HD HDMI to 4x 3G-SDI. “AJA Mini-Converters are constantly working around the clock to hold together post, broadcast and production workfl ows,” said Nick Rashby, president, AJA Video Systems. “These products are the grease in the gears of any digital video environment, and with our new FiDO boxes and HA5- 4K were making it simpler than ever before to streamline pipelines in multi-format environments.” The FiDO-4T-ST and FiDO-4R-ST have the ability to send signals from a 4K/ UHD source, such as from AJA’s CION camera, up to 10 kilometers.
