NEWS MANIPULATE & EDIT Automated branding Pixel Power brought its automated content packaging system Pixel Factory to Broadcast Asia. Developed for both linear and multiscreen delivery, it allows broadcasters to extend brand visibility across traditional, OTT and VOD platforms. A typical application for Pixel Factory would be to create multiple versions of trailers and promos, based on a standard template. This could include promos for forthcoming programmes, animated and dynamic menu rundowns as well as complex programme junctions. Pixel Factory can create these automatically from a set of work order instructions including media assets and priorities. www.pixelpower.com Audio console Dutch outside broadcast firm United has installed a Lawo mc²56 audio mixing console in its new OB16 truck. LDM Audiovisual Systems, based in Belgium, supplied the kit and carried out the console configuration. The desk’s core integrates its own DSP with a Nova73 compact core, which is also a large audio router – making the audio mixing console a system controller. The router is equipped with MADI, allowing the simultaneous transfer of up to 64 audio channels over a single fiber-optic link. According to Lawo, this signal capacity has reduced the wiring that would otherwise be required in the vehicle, and eliminated much of the conventional assembly and soldering. www.lawo.com 16 | KITPLUS - THE TV-BAY MAGAZINE: ISSUE 102 JUNE 2015
