The scanner, considered to be the fi rst ‘purpose built’ UHD vehicle in Europe, will be deployed from August when BT Sport Ultra HD launches on the IPTV service BT TV. Timeline’s systems integration division built the truck. Amongst the kit to be used are Sony HDC-4300 2/3-inch cameras fi tted with Fujinon UHD 2/3 inch 80:1 box and 22:1 ENG lenses. A Snell Kahuna vision mixer and Sirius router, Sony PWS-4400 server and EVS XT3 live production servers will also be included. Singapore-based Broadcast Solutions Group (BSG) has upgraded its fl yaway OB systems with the addition of Axon Synapse Dolby E Encoders (DBE08) and Multiformat Dolby Stream Decoders (DBD28). “Our fl yaway kit needs to be moved from one place to another within a very short time frame,” said Saaed Izadi, the chief executive of Broadcast Solutions Group. “Equipment for these must be compact, reliable, robust and capable of withstanding extreme weather conditions. We tested many systems on the market and decided to go with AXONs Synapse Dolby solution as it perfectly fi ts our mission-critical needs.” www.axon.tv www.timeline.tv SGL has an established history serving the archive needs of broadcast facilities around the world.
