NEWS MOVE & DELIVER Playout ChyronHego will show its Channel Box Prime and the new Lyric64 graphics and playout platform on booth 1133 at Content & Communications World (CCW). The Channel Box channel- branding system is used for on-screen headlines, sports scores, fi nancial data, weather reports, snipes, social media commentary and automated promos. At CCW it will be shown re- engineered for the 64-bit environment. Lyric64 is also a 64-bit application. It includes an updated user interface that incorporates point-and-click access to data using ChyronHego’s Advanced Data Object technology. At CCW, ChyronHego will showcase the Lyric64 in a 4k environment and in an advanced video wall application. Other products on show will include Paint 6.2 and VidiGo Live. www.chyronhego.com UHD The Ultra High Defi nition (UHD) channels launched in the summer by Portuguese telecoms and pay-TV operator NOS are using the HEVC compression capabilities of the Thomson Video Networks ViBE VS7000, it has been revealed. The two channels using the encoding/ transcoding platform are NOS’s own UHD 4k cable service and a 4k channel for the satellite operator Hispasat. Hispasat 4k broadcasts wildlife, nature and documentaries while NOS Ultra HD 4k features music, cultural events and documentary programming including NOS Primavera Sound, NOS em Palco and NOS Alive.
