NEWS MOVE & DELIVER Video compression Madrid-based post and playout provider Telson is using Ateme’s Titan stream processing technology for the OTT multi- screen service that it offers its customers. Titan is a virtualized software-based system for cable, DTH, and OTT that runs on any operating system. It delivers “the highest video quality at minimum bitrates addressing main screens and multiscreen applications, from mobile resolutions up to UHDp60.” Titan includes SDI and IP I/Os, encoder, transcoder, multiplexer, statmux, packager and origin server. Agapito Otero, Telson’s TV channels manager, said: “OTT delivery enables our clients to propose an additional experience to their users, thus improve their customer retention, and increase both ARPU and subscriber base.” Telson is part of the Tres60 Grupo, the Spanish media capture, management and distribution services group. Live IP video TVU Networks will showcase its video-over-IP range at the Content & Communications World expo (booth 661) in New York this month. Included will be the TVU One mobile IP newsgathering transmitter and the company’s flagship TVUPack TM8200 mobile uplink backpack transmitter. TVU One features the same Inverse StatMux Plus (IS+) technology as other TVU products.
