NEWS MOVE & DELIVER TRANSMITTERS Integrated Microwave Technologies (IMT) has launched the RefCam HD-I, a COFDM, HD video transmitter with an integrated HD camera that can be used for capturing footage from the point-of-view of a sports referee. Developed in conjunction with iSee Automation, it was created to be worn with - or integrated into - a sports helmet. John Payne IV, president of IMT, said: “The RefCam HD-I allows fans to experience the event from an entirely new perspective. VIDEO DELIVERY Broadpeak has teamed up with Squadeo and the CRM software company Alpha Networks in order to put together a turnkey content distribution system that provides offer and subscriber management, and playback on all device types. “In the multiscreen environment, pay TV operators require efficient, flexible, and future-proof video delivery platforms that can be deployed swiftly while setting them apart from the competition in terms of user experience,” said Jacques Le Mancq, chief executive at Broadpeak. “By joining forces with Alpha Networks and Squadeo, we are demonstrating how a best-of-breed, end-to-end solution is the ideal choice for delivering fast time to market and an advanced feature set.” METADATA MEDIA TRANSPORT At NAB Artel Video Systems introduced the DLC910 Quad SD-HD-3G SDI Multiviewer. The DLC910 adds four-channel SD-HD-3G multiviewer capabilities to Artel’s flagship DigiLink media transport platform and supports a range of input signal formats and resolutions. It enables users to monitor the status of up to four independent video channels and features auto detect format, audio monitoring, automatic aspect ratio output, and multiple I/O options using BNCs, optical or HDMI SFPs, or other modules in the DigiLink platform.
