KitPlus TV: NAB 2022 Media Technology News from KitPlus: 4th April 2022

Season 6 of KitPlus TV is here and on the lead up to NAB 2022 we are reporting on the top stories before the show on what you can expect to see and hear in Las Vegas 24th to 27th April 2022.

Mr MXF kicks off the news from ELEMENTS with BEEGFS open source parallel file system, Studio Technologies will be introducing the Dante compatible ‘Model 5304’ Intercom Station, Cobalt Digital has the introduction of +UDX-Dante-16x16, Intinor will show its ultra-low latency feature, synchronised streams, and full support for SRT/RIST along with Bifrost, to ensure multivendor interoperability and there is a first look at GBLabs’ HyperSpace Generation 3, the latest iteration of its rack-based SSD accelerator.

Cinegy solutions on show include Cinegy Air PRO, Cinegy Capture PRO, Cinegy Multiviewer, Cinegy Convert and Cinegy Archive, within which the Daniel2 codec is an integral part, Evertz will be showing IP-based end-to-end solutions around its Software Defined Video Networking (SDVN) portfolio and AVIWEST will showcase several new solutions and enhancements at NAB to their advanced video contribution platform.

Clear-Com® returns to the NAB Show with hands-on demonstrations of IP-based remote and “on-prem” intercom solutions, IHSE USA will be showcasing its latest KVM solutions with the Draco MultiView 4K60 and tera flex matrix switch and Guntermann & Drunck will present their new and unique, high-performance KVM-over-IP extender series VisionXS.

Hitomi Broadcast will show its new latency feature for MatchBox, EditShare will showcase project synchronisation with NLEs, NUGEN Audio is featuring its groundbreaking 3D-compatible convolution reverb, Paragon and Vislink will be showing off its latest feature-packed solutions for automated, AI-driven remote production for live news and sports.

A snippet from the Leader Instruments zone is the LV5600 waveform monitor and LV7600 rasterizer and in the PHABRIX zone check out the Qx Series advanced, compact, feature-rich hybrid IP/SDI, 4K/UHD rasterizers, Starfish Technologies will be highlighting its range of solutions, including TS Splicer, at NAB and Mo-Sys Engineering will expose more of its virtual production technology stack at NAB where this year it is co-exhibiting with APG and Fujifilm.

Mediaproxy will return to Las Vegas to demonstrate the latest upgrades to its flagship LogServer logging and monitoring system, making an NAB debut for Playbox Neo will be the Capture Suite network-based multi-channel ingest solution and Marshall will highlight the CV568/CV368 Global Shutter Cameras with Genlock and CV566/CV366 Rolling Shutter Cameras with Genlock as well as the introduction of the CV730-BHN High-Bandwidth NDI PTZ Camera at the show.

Viaccess-Orca will showcase its TV platform featuring the VO Secure Video Player, Magewell will showcase the Magewell Cloud multi-device management software at NAB, Densitron has announced that it will show solutions including its latest UReady universal control surfaces and the IDS (Intelligent Display System) platform at NAB and TSL expands its renowned SAM-Q Audio Monitor offerings with the new SAM-Q-NET and SAM-Q-EDIT tools.

Calrec will run three independent consoles from a fully redundant pair of ImPulse cores and finally this week TV Pro Gear will spotlight its latest Flypaks™ including the new Genesis II, Tiger and Panther solutions.
