Date: 20/10/2009
30-day Free Trial of Primera Technologya Primera Technology, Inc., the worlds leading developer and manufacturer of CD, DVD, and Blu-ray disc duplication and printing equipment, has announced the availability of its new PTPublisher NE (Network Edition) Software. The software is available immediately as a free 30-day trial at www.primera.eu.

PTPublisher NE Software allows multiple users in an office to share a single Primera automated disc publisher. Primeras disc publishers automatically burn and print quantities of CDs, DVDs and optionally, Blu-ray¢ Disc Media. Supported models include the Primera Disc Publisher II, Disc Publisher PRO and the Disc Publisher XR-Series.

After installing PTPublisher NE software, users can send burn and print jobs from any client Windows® XP/2000/Vista® PC on the network. The software comes with an unlimited number of client licenses for just 499,- (MSRP) about half the price of competing network disc publishing software.

With PTPublisher NE, networked disc publishing is now as easy as printing to a networked laser printer, said Mark D. Strobel, Primeras Vice President of Sales and Marketing. We are excited to be able to provide such easy to use, best-in-class network software that takes the mystery and the high price out of networked disc publishing.

Gigcasters Achieves Broadcast Quality Live Streaming with the Zixi OnAir Mobile App

Gigcasters, a live streaming engineering company, has seen mobile production increase during the pandemic and witnessed first-hand the benefits of higher frequency, lower cost productions using Zixi’s OnAir app infrastructure. The company first tried live video delivery remotely using laptops and WebRTC, but found the reliability of the feed was not good, and packet loss and image quality were insufficient. Once the Zixi OnAir app was quickly enabled on local production teams’ mobile phones, getting a broadcast-quality feed was easy.
