AVIWEST Streamlines Live Video Contribution at NAB Show

AVIWEST, a leading provider of live video contribution solutions, recently acquired by Haivision — a leading global provider of mission-critical, real-time video streaming and networking solutions — will showcase several new solutions and enhancements at the 2022 NAB Show in Las Vegas. Using AVIWEST's advanced video contribution platform, broadcasters can capture and deliver live 4K, multi-HD, HD, and SD video over multiple unmanaged IP networks, including bonded 5G/4G cellular, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and satellite links. AVIWEST's solutions are globally deployed and have received two Technology & Engineering Emmy® Awards, one of the highest accolades awarded to companies in the broadcast industry.

"As live video productions ramp up, broadcasters need simple solutions for video contribution and distribution," said Ronan Poullaouec, CTO at AVIWEST. "At the 2022 NAB Show, we'll show how our solutions can simplify any broadcast deployment, especially for video on-the-move and remote sports applications."

NEW StreamHub Brings Simplicity and Power to Contribution and Distribution Workflows

AVIWEST's StreamHub Series can be deployed as an in-house 1U server or as a cloud service, bringing simplicity, flexibility, and efficiency to any news, live video production, or live video distribution organization. At the 2022 NAB Show, AVIWEST will introduce its all-new StreamHub with a completely redesigned interface and a high level of enhancements.

NEW PRO460 4K/UHD Bonded 5G Cellular Transmitters Improve On-the-Go Newsgathering

At the 2022 NAB Show, AVIWEST will showcase its new 4K/UHD bonded 5G/4G transmitter for broadcasters who are on the move. The PRO460 was successfully deployed during a recent global sporting event held in Beijing, which demonstrated why it is perfect for remote and at-home video productions of any size. The PRO460 supports 4K UHD and multicamera workflows for up to four high-resolution, fully frame-synced feeds, delivering outstanding-quality video and high performance.

AVIWEST's PRO460 also offers a high-definition video return (up to 1080p50/60) and is available for confidence monitoring or teleprompting. The solution supports full-duplex intercoms to optimize communication between field crews and studio operators, as well as innovative data bridging for remote camera control, tally light management, or control of any IP-connected device during a live event.

Housing six globally compliant 5G modems and featuring patented, high-efficiency custom antennas to ensure high-speed transmission, the PRO460 provides robust, error-free transmission over any network (i.e., cellular, satellite, IP leased line, or the public internet). Using the PRO460, broadcasters can ensure low end-to-end latency, down to 0.5 seconds, thanks to AVIWEST's two-time Emmy® Award-winning SST (Safe Stream Transport) technology.

NEW RACK400 4K/UHD and Multi-HD Encoder Drives Efficiencies for Sports Remote Production

At the 2022 NAB Show, AVIWEST will showcase how its new RACK400 video encoder drives efficiencies for sports remote production. Available in a compact half-1U form factor, the RACK400 supports 4K/UHD and multicamera workflows, with up to four high-resolution, fully frame-synced feeds.

The RACK400 provides robust, error-free transmission over any network, including cellular, satellite, IP leased line, and the public internet. With the RACK400, broadcasters can deliver video at low latency, down to 0.5 seconds, thanks to AVIWEST's double Emmy® Award-winning SST technology.

As a remote production encoding solution, the RACK400 is designed to ensure maximum efficiency from a central facility. The encoder enables perfect video sync between multiple cameras for seamless camera switching in the studio, video return to the field for confidence monitoring, full duplex intercom between field crews and studio operators, and data bridging for remote control of cameras, tally light, or any other IP device during a live event.

NEW LiveGuest Solution Simplifies Remote Interviews

At the 2022 NAB Show, AVIWEST will demonstrate its new LiveGuest solution, a new video calls solution for live production applications. AVIWEST LiveGuest empowers professional broadcasters to create engaging, innovative content for audiences by inviting remote guests to join a live video call directly integrated with their production system. The solution is easy to deploy and use, without requiring any web application or software. VIP guests, including athletes, politicians, and celebrities, simply click on an email link via laptop and they are on-air.
