For gallery and studio weather graphics, the real-time weather data solution is fully integrated with Viz Trio and Viz Director for Viz Engine playout control, as well as newsroom templates in Viz Pilot. It can also provide database management and automated playlist control of master control weather graphics played out on Unreal Engine or Viz Engine.

Broadcast Technology Innovators Team Up for Live Demonstrations of ATSC 3.0 End-to-End Workflows at the 2016 NAB Show

At the 2016 NAB Show, Digital Alert Systems, Dolby(R), GatesAir, Harmonic, LG Electronics, Triveni Digital, and Zenith are teaming up to demonstrate live end-to-end ATSC 3.0 workflows for a range of the broadcast capabilities such as 4K and high dynamic range (HDR). Multiple programs of live and prerecorded streams will be displayed in 4K resolution with HDR, delivered at a frame rate of 60 fps along with next-generation audio. The demonstrations will be the first time that broadcasters can observe eight of the nine core ATSC 3.0 technologies being standardized to provide advanced electronic programming/service guides (EPG/ESG), intelligent HDR to standard dynamic range (SDR) conversion for legacy DTV, and other new services and media types supported by the next-generation broadcast television system.

Digital Alert Systems Adds DASDEC Support for DM Engineering Switching Devices
Digital Alert Systems, a division of Monroe Electronics, today announced an upgrade to its DASDEC(TM) series of flexible hardware/software emergency messaging platforms. In cooperation with DM Engineering, DASDEC systems now support the DM Engineering Multi-Station Relay Adapter (MSRA) and Multi-Station Relay Expander (MSRE) switching devices. These products are connected via a serial cable then simply configured from the DASDEC's user interface, eliminating the need to completely rewire or replace the switching hardware when upgrading to DASDEC, saving a station time and money.
