Gravity Media further expands in Australia with Chief Entertainment acquisition

Gravity Media, the leading global provider of complex live broadcast facilities and production services, has agreed to acquire Chief Entertainment Pty Limited, a leading Sydney, Australia-based provider of live studio and production services, from Telstra Corporation Limited, Australia’s leading telecommunications and technology company. Gravity Media currently operates in Australia under the Gearhouse Broadcast, HyperActive Broadcast and Input Media brands and this acquisition will complement the existing Input Media production centres in the UK as well as its Melbourne production and Sydney post-production facilities. The transaction has not yet completed and is expected to complete by the end of August, subject to certain conditions being satisfied.

Blackmagic URSA Mini 4K Used to Shoot August Burns Red in Concert for HeartSupport Community

Blackmagic Design today announced that URSA Mini 4K digital film camera was used to shoot a number of high profile interviews with some of the worlds biggest bands as part of the HeartSupport community program. Blackmagic Production Camera 4K and Pocket Cinema Camera, along with Video Assists, were also used to shoot live concert footage of international heavy metal band August Burns Red at the recent Self Help Fest.
