SMPTE and DPP Partner to Develop an IMF Specification for Broadcast and Online Posted: 13/07/2017
SMPTE(R), the organization whose standards work has supported a century of advances in entertainment technology, today announced that the Society will be working together with the Digital Production Partnership (DPP) on a joint pilot specification project to create an Interoperable Master Format (IMF) specification for broadcast and online.

NRK, the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, has installed Vimond Highlights to streamline and accelerate the process of creating video clips from live coverage and posting them online.

During the recent Womens World Cup football tournament, NRK used Vimond Highlights to create clips from the live stream, publishing them within minutes to the NRK Twitter feed. NRK had earlier trialled Vimond Highlights during the 2014 World Cup in Brasil.
