Tightrope Simplifies Live IP Contribution and Channel Branding for Community Broadcasters with Cablecast 6.3 Posted: 02/11/2017

Tightrope Media Systems today announced version 6.3 of its comprehensive CablecastBroadcast Automation platform, featuring two powerful new capabilities that simplify workflows, reduce equipment requirements and lower costs for community TV broadcasters. New IP input support for Cablecast Flex servers allows users to bring in live feeds from remote locations over cost-effective IP networks without requiring decoder hardware, while expanded channel branding abilities enable the keying of rich visual elements and messages over live video sources.

Cobalt Digital Converters Are First in the US to Offer Technicolor HDR ITM Technology Posted: 19/10/2017
Cobalt Digital today announced that it is the first U.S. manufacturer selected to license Technicolor's High Dynamic Range (HDR) Intelligent Tone Management (ITM) technology for the broadcast television environment. Cobalt will make the Technicolor HDR ITM feature optionally available on its new series of 12G/6G/3G/HD/SD-SDI 4K cards for the openGear® platform and on its BBG-1000 series of stand-alone units. The HDR license will also be available for certain versions of Cobalt's 9902-UDX card, which are installed in hundreds of locations worldwide. This upgrade path not only adds value to customers' Cobalt investment but also unlocks the potential to remonetize content for HDR distribution using existing hardware.

Russian broadcaster NTV sees the light with Calrec Artemis Posted: 19/10/2017
Russian broadcaster NTV, a loyal Calrec Audio customer, has added a fourth Artemis Light digital audio console to its studio facilities in the Television Technical Center Ostankino (TTC) in Moscow. The latest 48-fader Artemis will upgrade TTC's Studio 18 to support popular programs such as "Today," "Emergency," and "The End of the Day With Irada Zeynalova" that has recently been commissioned for broadcast by NTV. The other Artemis consoles used by NTV at TTC are in Studios 11 and 12.
