Light Illusion launches new Colour Management System - and ldquo;ColourSpace CMS and rdquo; for Pre-Ordering and Beta Testing

Light Illusion, specialists in critical colour management for film, post-production, and broadcast has launched a brand-new colour management product called “ColourSpace CMS”. Currently available for pre-order, it enables participation in the open beta program to provide feedback and input for the final release.

ColourSpace CMS is a software program which connects to a wide variety of display calibration probes in order to accurately assess the colour rendition of any display. It then creates colour management data which can be used to perfect colour accuracy by uploading it into a display that has colour management features, or alternatively, applied as a correction to the signal feeding the display using associated hardware.

Applications include display calibration, colour management, and colour workflows within the professional film, post-production, and broadcast industries, as well as for display manufacturers and home cinema enthusiasts. ColourSpace CMS data is compatible with most colour related post-production platforms such as Resolve, Flame and Baselight.

ColourSpace CMS has been designed to bring a significant improvement to how colour accuracy is measured and reported.

Light Illusion aims for ColourSpace to become the de-facto standard for advanced colour management, promoting high levels of display calibration and colour control, regardless of final application.

disguise solutions power innovative video for Ariana Grande and rsquo;s Sweetener World Tour

Ariana Grande’s Sweetener World Tour is underway with disguise 4x4pro media servers and OmniCal projector-calibration engine playing a key role in facilitating the ethereal, galaxy-themed visuals on stage.

The tour supports the artist’s fourth and fifth studio albums, ‘sweetener’ and ‘thank u, next.’ It kicked off in March 2019 in New York and wraps in December 2019 in California, comprising three legs and a total of 102 dates in North America and Europe.

“The tour was designed to highlight the range and femininity of Ariana and create an ever-transforming space for her to perform her latest albums and give the audience an immersive experience to dive into as they witness Ariana's journey through her music,” says Loren Barton, Media Department Director with Lumentech. He has overseen the projection and media departments in support of many recent projects by Production and Lighting Designer LeRoy Bennett. Possible Productions produced the motion graphics for the show, which sees the stage brought to life with visuals of space during the song ‘NASA’, the visuals then turn the stage into a planet, a moon and a galaxy. From conversations with Ariana herself, Michael Figge and his team at Possible created a stage theme for each song that reinforced the choreography and lighting.

Oxygen DCT Launches New Colour Calibration Service For The Broadcast and Post Production Industry Posted: 22/12/2010
Oxygen DCT Launches New Colour Calibration Service For The Broadcast and Post Production Industry Oxygen DCT has launched a new service to help broadcasters and post production facilities re-align and maintain LCD picture monitors with the correct broadcast colourimetry.

Picture monitors drift from factory settings and need re-calibration because significant differences between the brightness and colour temperature of a group of monitors in a stack can be both irritating and tiring on the eyes. In the case of Grade One monitors, which are used for high-grade reference assessment of picture quality, post production and transmission, poor alignment can lead to problems with quality control if broadcast engineers cant tell if the monitor is at fault or the incoming signal.
