QVC Adds Significant Multi-Camera Control System with Shotoku Broadcast Systems to its US Studio Operation

Shotoku Broadcast Systems, a leading international manufacturer of advanced camera support products, has announced that QVC, the worlds leading video and ecommerce retailer, has significantly increased its current camera control capabilities with the installation of a complete 32-camera control system driven by a large number of TR-QP panels and TR-XT control systems in its US broadcast facility. The system provides for all cameras to be directly controlled from each compact TR-QP via joystick or a number of key camera functions enabling QVC to change studio configurations rapidly, a key requirement in the demanding live TV production environment. |

The City of Fort Collinsthe largest city in Larimer County, Coloradoacquired nine Hitachi DK-Z50 multi-format HDTV high-performance special applications cameras as well as Hitachi PT-101 camera control systems (with integrated Eagle pan/tilt capability).
All nine cameras are dedicated to local HD programming for City Cable 14. City Cable 14 acquired theHitachi DK-Z50 cameras in two ordershandled by Hitachi dealer RIA Corporation in Colorado Springs, COwith five installed in November 2010 and four in January 2011. The camera systems, which replaced older Hitachi analog cameras, were purchased as part of City Cable 14s gradual migration to full HDTV production. |
