ZOO DIGITAL TO LAUNCH ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRYS FIRST CLOUD-BASED DUBBING PLATFORM AT NAB SHOW 2017 Posted: 10/04/2017

Ian Sands wins BAFTA for Gospel Sound Posted: 10/10/2013
Production sound mixer Ian Sands is celebrating a sound victory after scooping the Best Sound BAFTA Cymru award for his work on the 2012 film 'The Gospel of Us' starring Michael Sheen.

Together with dubbing mixer Dai Shell, Sands accepted the prestigious British Academy Award for the pair's outstanding work on Dave McKean's contemporary re-telling of the Passion story, the big screen adaptation of the National Theater of Wales Easter performance in Port Talbot. The familiar mask trophy was presented at the glittering ceremony in the Wales Millennium Center, Cardiff on 29th September.

In a career spanning 35 years of sound recording and mixing, Sands has a host of Film and TV credits to his name including 'The Bourne Ultimatum', and more recently Tim Burton's 'Dark Shadows', with the latest for release this month Stephen Sondheim's musical 'Merrily We Roll Along'.

"I have worked on many films and TV shows but this project was certainly a challenge," says Sands. "This fantastic award is recognition of the hard work and effort put into ensuring the film sound track had all the necessary ingredients and impact to accompany the vision of the Director. A big thank you to BAFTA Cymru."

The production sound team also included Dubbing mixer and Ian's second, Emyr Morris, minstrel recordists Jules Davies, Dafydd Pierce and Nick Stewart. Post production was undertaken by Dia Shell and Ellie Russell.

Munro Acoustics Design for BBC Cymru Wales Roath Lock Dubbing Facility Posted: 06/12/2011

Roath Lock, BBC Cymru Wales newly opened studios in the Welsh Government owned Porth Teigr area of Cardiff Bay (formerly Roath Basin), includes a new dubbing suite which was designed by Munro Acoustics.

The technology is built around the console, the latest DFC Gemini console from AMS Neve, as used in several other BBC dubbing theatres. The desk features 16 faders providing 4 layers and 6 banks giving some 384 channels of audio.  The new suite will provide dubbing facilities for two programmes produced by BBC Wales, specifically Pobol y Cwm and Casualty.  The Munro design was completed by local constructors.

White Mark completes second project for hogarth worldwide Posted: 25/02/2010
Advertising implementation agency Hogarth Worldwide has undergone such dramatic growth that it has more than doubled its office space in London's Shaftesbury Avenue. 

As a result of this expansion, the company has also increased its post production facilities by building six new video editing suites and a 5.1 surround sound dubbing suite for television advertising projects. These were all designed and installed by acoustic and technical design consultancy White Mark Ltd.
 
Established in October 2008, Hogarth Worldwide takes advantage of new technology to deliver advertising more efficiently. By operating on a large, almost industrial scale Hogarth can implement international advertising campaigns in print, TV or digital media at a fraction of the normal cost. This business model is proving so successful that the company has grown to encompass more than 200 employees in just one year.
