Posted: 08/01/2021
euNetworks Fiber UK Limited (“euNetworks”), a Western European bandwidth infrastructure company, today announced that it has acquired 100% of the shares of The Loop Manchester Limited (“The Loop”), from Gamma Telecom Holdings Limited (“Gamma”). The Loop is a duct and sub-duct based fibre network in Greater Manchester in the United Kingdom. The Loop launched in 2012 and has a unique duct network stretching more than 87km across the key commercial areas of Manchester, Salford and Trafford. With over 180km of high capacity fibre cables, it connects into 20 data centres, two Exchanges and provides high capacity internet into more than 70 key multi-tenant commercial buildings. Approximately 48km of the duct network is entirely unique routing from alternative operators in the city. That routing combined with 700 chambers and expansion capability, offers a strong compliment to euNetworks current fibre network in Manchester. As well as serving the growing Manchester media sector, The Loop’s customers include major data centre operators, enterprises and public sector organisations.

Ikegami UHK-430 and HDK-99 Cameras Chosen for New 4K OB Vehicle
Posted: 05/05/2020
Ikegami UHK-430 and HDK-99 cameras have been chosen for a recently completed 4K OB vehicle, designed and built by Milan-based broadcast system integrator Aret Video & Audio Engineering. The vehicle was commissioned in time to cover the Qatar National Day festivities celebrating the country's foundation in 1878. "The Ikegami cameras were selected both for their high signal quality and for the proven excellence of Ikegami post-sale support," comments Aret's Vice President Alessandro Asti. "Eight UHK-430 models have been purchased plus two docking-style HDK-99. All 10 cameras can be tripod or pedestal mounted to achieve steady long-zoom closeup capture of fast-moving action while retaining the freedom to operate in free-style over-the-shoulder mode. The HDK-99 can be configured to feed directly from the camera control unit into any 4K periphery." Ikegami’s Middle East office, located in Dubai, assisted in the customer’s decision-making by providing consultation support and product demonstrations. Ikegami observers were present to offer assistance over multiple days during the ongoing festivities," adds Asim Saeed, Business Development Manager – Ikegami Middle East. All the equipment worked perfectly and the production went flawlessly.

Hiltron Completes Fully Integrated TVRO Platform Control System for Nilesat
Posted: 08/04/2020
Hiltron Communications announces the completion of a custom-designed turnkey TVRO satellite platform for Nilesat, one of the largest Middle East telecommunication networks. The new installation is a fully L-band-over-fibre integrated downlink which covers all mediator satellites in the range from 30° west to 100° east, operating in C and Ku bands simultaneously.
"Located at our ground station in Giza, the new downlink gives us the reliability and flexibility we needed for backing up our existing fixed TVRO antennas," says Nilesat Head of Ground Segment Engineer Osama Tantawy. "Incoming signals from all antennas on the new platform, 32 feeds in total, are connected to the master control room via fibre-optic links. Hiltron has produced and integrated a complete solution including its HMCS monitoring and control software. The company worked closely with us from initial design right through to factory acceptance test, onsite installation, commissioning and training. The project was completed successfully and on time thanks to the experience and teamwork of everyone involved."
