Ikegami Electronics (Europe) announces a major addition to its range of broadcast production cameras. Introduced at the April 2022 NAB Show in Las Vegas and now confirmed for the EAME market, the UHK-X750 is a full studio/OB camera optimised for fixed-mount operation on a pedestal or tripod. Integrated into a robust metal housing designed to ensure extreme ruggedness, it includes high frame-rate capture for slow motion applications, global shutter sensors and versatile connectivity. "The UHK-X750 is intended for production studios and outside broadcast service providers seeking high mastering quality to maximise the commercial longevity of their productions," comments Ikegami Electronics (Europe) Broadcast & Professional Video Division manager Michael Lätzsch. "It offers all the advanced capabilities of Ikegami's flagship Unicam UHK-X700 except for those that apply to portable shoulder operation. Distinguishing elements of the UHK-X750 include a lower centre-of-gravity and easier staging compared to a portable camera." |

Rohde & Schwarz, a global leader in broadcast media technologies, has today announced the deployment of its high-performance intelligent storage network, as well as its media servers for content preparation at Swiss broadcaster blue. Reliability, redundancy, small form factor and easy setup were key factors in the decision to choose R&S®VENICE and R&S®SpycerNode for the project. Futureproofing and scalability were also important considerations, allowing blue to migrate from today’s 1080/25i to 50p to 4k and HDR/Ultra HD with outputs already configured for Ultra HD.
