The IABM (International Association of Broadcasting Manufacturers) is hosting its annual International Business Conference on 5-6 December aimed at high level decision-makers and strategists in the broadcast, telecom and new media markets.
The conference, titled Navigating through the changing media landscape, brings together experts and thought leaders to deliver a series of presentations and panel discussions that will examine convergence across the broadcast sector. Key topics that will be covered include the future of broadcasting, technology enablers for TV Everywhere services, including the transition to cloud, and the role start-ups have to play in a rapidly developing market.
The must-attend event will examine the technology and business drivers for new consumption models such as TV Everywhere, and address how providers can respond to evolving consumer needs in order to drive growth.
A number of high profile speakers from industry-leading organisations, such as Harris Broadcast, Ericsson and Signiant, will provide insightful and thought-provoking keynotes over the course of the two days.
Peter White, director general, IABM, is presenting the first keynote which addresses the IABMs latest market intelligence: There are a number of trends that are currently impacting upon the ways in which we do business, says White. The opening keynote, and indeed the overarching theme of the conference, is therefore focused on these changes, to address both the challenges presented and also the inherent opportunities.
White will also deliver an exclusive session with a sneak preview of the IABM Global Market Valuation and Strategy Report revealing some of the headline figures. The latest edition of the annual report is the first product of IABMDC a joint venture between IABM and Devoncroft Partners. The industrywide project provides market sizing data for the broadcast industry as a whole, and for more than 100 individual product categories giving a unique look at global positioning in the broadcast and media technology market.
The event will also provide attendees with networking opportunities on day one of the conference through a drinks reception and conference dinner.
The IABM International Business Conference takes place on 5-6 December at the Radisson Blu Edwardian Heathrow hotel, London. For more information or how to register, please visit www.theiabm.org/annualconference.
