Synchronized Companion App Framework
The Synchronized Companion App Framework -- a key component of never.no's flagship Interactivity Suite (IS) -- makes it easy for broadcasters to develop distinctive, branded social media applications to accompany their programming. These applications can push/pull information or media relevant to real-time TV broadcasts to and from a second screen, such as a tablet, smartphone, or PC. The Synchronized Companion App Framework works by monitoring frame-by-frame changes in broadcast programming or live production, and then uses those changes to trigger delivery of relevant content to the second screen. Powered by the never.no IS, the Synchronized Companion App Framework supports most major broadcast protocols, allowing it to be an active return channel to the broadcaster. As a result, tablets, smartphones, and PCs become perfect peripherals for enabling participation TV, interactive content, and even remote control.
 
Interactivity Suite
never.no's flagship product, the Interactivity Suite (IS) is a toolkit for creating the technical backbone of interactive broadcasts and digital marketing campaigns. By enabling viewers to influence a broadcast in real time and allowing them to interact with one another and the rest of the world, IS supports true participation TV. With IS, a broadcaster can effortlessly aggregate user-generated content from social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook into programming, and even build synchronized companion apps that enable viewers to interact with their televisions using a tablet, PC, or smartphone.
 
Prompter -- debuting at IBC2012
Prompter, the newest addition to never.no's Social TV product family, will be making its IBC debut. Prompter is the world's first app designed to give presenters, anchors, hosts, or anyone else who works on-camera the ability to use social media and interactive content on the job. An additional option to never.no's Interactivity Suite (IS), Prompter enables on-air talent to view real-time social media comments from viewers and fans and incorporate their input into programs. Incoming comments are pushed directly into Prompter on a presenter's iPad(R). Because Prompter is powered by IS, feeds and comments are filtered (automatically or manually) so that only the best content makes it to the presenter. By enabling the host to not only receive content but to publish it as well, the broadcaster benefits from a greater social call to action to participate, greater levels of engagement with social and broadcast content, and heightened interactivity.

HPA (Hollywood Professional Association) has opened the call for applications for the 2022 Young Entertainment Professionals (YEP) program. Since its inception in 2015, the growing YEP program has supported the careers of talented creative, technical, project management and administrative professionals between the ages of 21 and 32 through mentorship, community building and educational offerings. Applications are due Monday, November 8 and applicants will be notified of their status in early December. The 2022 YEP class will begin in January 2022.
